Hey from Upstate NY

Postby topspeed » Sun Nov 06, 2011 11:48 pm

Hey Guys... My name is John. Met Brother Al a few weekends ago and he shared his knowledge with me on the Birds. Thanks brother. Right now I'm in the process of restoring my Firebird. It was my first car purchased back in 1987. Because of an F'd up situation it sat in the woods for 23 years until this past May. It was delivered to my house on my birthday thanks to a lot of leg work from my wife. Wasn't sure what to do with the car because I wasn't sure of the condition. After stripping it down I noticed it wasn't that bad and decided to restore it and save it from the junkyard.

I started a thread on another site which I'm sure you guys know of. Check it out:

Unfortunately she looks like this now. Almost ready for media blasting. Had to remove the radiator support... bottom was rusted out. Will be putting a new one in soon.
