Almost forgot about this event....I have a cars and coffee meet in Warwick so after that I'll swing by.

I will bring:
-Chips
-Garbage Bags
-I have a tiny butane grill I scored from my ex that can help with speeding up cooking a bit
-Macaroni/Potato Salad
-Hot Dogs and Hot Dogs Buns?

If it's alright with everyone I might bring a couple friends from Cars and Coffee. One has a 600hp CTS-V and Rich and Amanda might want to join us again like last year.

Postby John in RI » Fri Jun 17, 2016 10:51 pm

I remembered today that Jerry had always brought more drinks than we could ever consume to the cookouts and figured that since he couldn't make it this season - and I hadn't made a claim to bring anything yet - that I'd bring some drinks. I'll stock a cooler with various flavors of Soda, Water, Gatorade, And Hawaiian Punch. we'll be packing a second cooler full of ice too ( probably 4 bags ). I'll also bring a couple bags of chips and some fresh (cut) fruit for table snacks.

Still puttin' a TON of time into the house/property, but I did manage to work on Mean Green for a few hours and finally buttoned a few things up. First and foremost was getting the car re-insured again a couple weeks ago. I've been too busy to drive it so far this season so I didn't make that call back in apriil like usual this year. ) Got the center console re-installed, FINALLY have all my mirrors installed again and I put the lower steering trim and hush panels back on for the first time in YEARS ! ( It's SOOOOooooo nice to have a fully working stereo again !! :jive: ) I'm still hoping to get a few hours to mess with it before the show,... the amount of time I get will determine what I get accomplished.

Also had a guy show up with his SLP SS Camaro. Dont recall the year ('98-'02), but he said it runs into the 9's, (Naturally aspirated motor without adders)... motor has a lot into it. Also a 1 of 60-something fiberglass roof car... White car... really impressive car. He stopped in for a bit and chatted, checked out everyone's rides, and we passed along our site info.

He is a friend of Scorch's... good guy. He pulled over and parked opposite on the opposite side of the road, because he didnt want to be disrespectful of our group.
