Make a mental note. Those are my daughters. I've stood up to guys 6" taller than me and outweigh me by a good 150lbs without batting an eye when it comes to them.

Re-think carefully.

Now think how the girls you would be gawking at's parents would react and you get my whole point. Sorry to single you in particular out on this but Iam trying to make a point to everyone. Think about s**t before you do it.

Jay said nothing wrong, he kindly told you to watch what you said about pictures of HIS daughter. You have to put yourself in his shoes, if you had a daughter that some random guy you never met wanted pictures of to do god knows what, I KNOW you would react the same way jay did. I would too if I were in his shoes.

If you feel this site is a joke, mods dont need to ban you, just dont log on, simple as that!!!!

So because you said something extremely inappropriate, that your friend is the first to call you out on, you think this site is a joke. As a fellow father of two daughters I think jay was pretty calm and said nothing wrong in this situation. So yea if you think this site is a joke don't bother coming back on easy as that I'm sure tgo would welcome you with open arms.

YIKES!!!

I kinda got his point, but I don't think he realized how it may have come across before he typed it... and that's the problem with chatting in person and chatting via the WWW... things can EASILY be typed, then read and understood very differently than the way in which they were intended.

Yeah he was saying how do you think the fathers of the girls Jay wanted to gawk at would feel for him doing that.

The comment that Jay was mad about was the pictures of his daughter.

 = Very Glad I've got boys !

Everyone else was talking about college age chicks....... not little girls.

shdhog; don't feel singled out,...... Your not the first member that he's addressed over his girls. ( and be thankfull as many would not have been so easy on you. ) I think the last time had something to do with putting a boot in someones mouth ?????? If it comes up again with another member I would expect the same to happen. Realize that if your ready to dish it out you better be ready to eat the same slop - PARTICULARLY when your talking directly to someone about thier daugther !

:hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer:

Think about it for just a minute or 2 and you will realize that your comments warrented a strong response, and IMO the response in this case was VERY reserved. Labling us as a "joke" over comments that came from you is - immature at best. A very simple appology would have been the right thing to do.

I think this has all gone far enough, and thanks for the support, gents. If one of those college girls was your daughter, 'hog, then I do apologize. Otherwise it's just bad form to throw a "pics or GTFO" when talking about a man's daughter regardless of age. No need to leave the board, and we don't need any further drama over it and let's just leave it as is and get back on topic, which of course is about cars.

We'll see how the weather is, I know my youngest actually enjoys these things so she might be up for it. Steve & Matt, if you guys do end up going, what time are you thinking? Parking together would be cool.

Im going to probably be getting there really early (as in the night before). My buddies parents live in the area and he is coming home for the weekend to detail his car so i am going to crash at his place and go early sunday and help work the show (my old club so figure i should). I will def be down for some white lowered iroc photos later though. I kno of a few places that would make good backdrops for pictures.

As for meeting places for you guys...probably the easiest meeting place is the Big Y right of exit 68 in tolland. You take that right onto 195 and its right there on your right. Cant miss it.

Ive got a few buddies that want to meet up to. All LSx cars minus a GTP. We were thinking of meeting on the pike to begin then meeting closer people further down the highway.

No time yet, we were thinking early, and being at the gates close to when they open them. Still workin that out though.

Mark, if you feel like driving in with all the third gens thats fine, if not thats cool too. We have a 4th gen ta (the white one) and possibly the gto (the red one) from my racing story that will probably be driving in with us.

Ok my Mass friend wont make it in time so no need to wait for him. Looks like Ive got a GTO almost identical to the one you know, 01 Camaro SS, 99 Vette, GTP, and possibly a couple others. Maybe meet up 915 on the pike then shoot up to a closer meet up spot to get the rest of the group as you know people closer and one of my buddies lives in Vernon.

Also watch the weather theyre now saying chance for showers. Keep a very close eye on that. If theres a chance of any drops falling I highly doubt we will go.

Geebus, you kids & your goofy forecast apps...

Here's the actual National Weather Service Forecast for the region... It's a bit more in depth than the very generalized "X Percent" crap... Bottom line is, there will be at minimum, hit & miss showers & T-Storms, but many of us, especially in the CT River Valley & Western Parts of CT, Mass, & VT will likely see the Rain & T-Storms. Besides, it's the Stafford Spring Swap Meet, almost a guarrentee that it's gonna rain.

From the National Weather Service:
SAT NIGHT INTO SUN...
SERIES OF WEAKENING SHORTWAVES WILL BE PUSHING EAST FROM GREAT LAKES REGION DURING THIS PERIOD...BUT RAPIDLY WEAKENING/OPENING AS THEY INTERACT WITH STRONG SUBTROPICAL RIDGE WITH CREST OVER/NEAR SRN NEW ENGLAND. TEMPS ARE EXPECTED TO BE MOSTLY IN THE 70S IN SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND AND 60S FOR MUCH OF NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND ON SAT AND SUNDAY... HOWEVER... TEMPS MAY REACH INTO THE 80S IN PARTS OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND ON SATURDAY AND POSSIBLY SUNDAY. THE SFC REFLECTION IS A WEAKENING WARM FRONT WHICH WILL PASS OVER THE REGION LATE IN THE DAY SUN. GIVEN THE AVAILABLE NEAR SFC BAROCLINICITY AND MODEST CONVECTIVE PARAMETERS... WE CAN'T RULE OUT SOME SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY PARTICULARLY LATE SAT NIGHT AND AGAIN DURING THE DAY ON SUN. MODELS SUGGEST THAT THE REMNANTS OF TODAYS MCS IN CENTRAL PLAINS WILL LIKELY PROVIDE ENOUGH ENERGY TO CREATE FAVORABLE CONDITIONS FOR STORM DEVELOPMENT...WHICH WILL NEED TO BE MONITORED. NAM MODEL IS THE MOST ROBUST FORECAST MODEL WITH POTENTIAL FOR SFC BASED CONVECTION...WITH GREATER THAN 500J/KG SBCAPE SUN AFTERNOON...THE POTENTIAL FOR SHOWERS AND EVEN AT LEAST AN ISOLATED RUMBLE OF THUNDER WITH BOTH WAVES IS BEING INDICATED IN ALL FORECAST MODELS. WE WILL CONTINUE PREVIOUS SHIFT THINKING AND MAINTAIN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE FORECAST FOR SAT AFTERNOON/EVE & SUNDAY... BETTER DEFINED MESOSCALE DETAILS WILL BE WORKED OUT MORE IN THE NEXT FEW MODEL RUNS.
